3 easy ways to show you

Give-A-Jam!

For the past nine years, musicians, chefs, designers, and hundreds of volunteers have joined together every December to help people that need it the most. A few days before Christmas, we’d get together and listen to some of Louisville’s best musicians, eat soup contributed by local restaurants, learn about the amazing work of the Coalition for the Homeless, and raise money to help the Coalition in its effort to end homelessness in our community. And our efforts paid off, with more than $250,000 contributed to the Coalition’s RX Housing program.

But, needless to say, a packed concert hall doesn’t seem very helpful at the moment. So, sadly, our annual concert has been canceled. But we have a problem: homelessness has not gone away. In fact, the terrible pandemic we’re all facing has created a crisis of homelessness, so we need you to help in a little different way this year.

We’re asking you to do three things. Just click on the buttons below to help.

Make a cash contribution or purchase Give-A-Jam merchandise. We have t-shirts and posters from all nine of our past Give-A-Jam events, digital downloads of music by local artists, as well as unique handmade gifts.

This year, thanks to the support and actions of so many, the Coalition for the Homeless has been standing up for those most effected by COVID-19.

The Coalition rallied its partners to advocate for protections and resources. Learn more about the issue of homelessness in our community and the work of the Coalition for the Homelessness.

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the situation for homeless and housing-insecure people is more serious than ever. And, despite the fact that some funding has been provided to help, most of the funding made available to help our community during COVID-19 ends on December 30th.

Our elected leaders are making crucial decisions about how to allocate the scarce resources available. Help us remind them that we need to take action NOW to prevent an explosion of homelessness, and to provide critical support for those in need.
